The PERA bill, Senate Bill 18-200, with the defined contribution still intact, passed out of the Colorado State Senate on a party line 19-16 vote, with all Republicans plus Independent Sen. Cheri Jahn in favor and all Democrats opposed. The bill now heads over to the House and is awaiting committee assignment. Read the statement by CEA President Kerrie Dallman.
Be prepared in the next week or two to begin the fight all over again in the House. More information to follow.
